Beautiful Words

Beautiful words stir my heart. I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.

True disciple is not just sympathizers. True disciples are those who are willing embedded, willing to be teach, enthusiastic to learn, willing to rectified, is willing to change, grow and time-tested, until more and more like Christ. They are the ones who are the called, chosen, and faithful to the end. Never stop half way, not backward, not turn, and did not turn back” (Sella Irene – Beautiful Words)

Miracles of multiplication five loaves and two fish that satiate five thousand men (not including women and children) make many people amazed. People who saw this miracle said: “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” (John 6:14 NKJV)

From then a lot of people enthusiastic looking for Jesus and tried to follow wherever He went. They wanted to make Jesus king that they expect to deliver them from Roman occupation, and hope that they can continue to receive a miracle that satisfy their earthly needs, as they have enjoyed previously. However, Jesus knew their real motivations.

Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone. (John 6:15 NKJV)

Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.” (John 6:26 NKJV)

The motivation of these people proved when Jesus  was sternly rebuked them and reveals the truth about Himself that He is the living bread that came down from the heaven and they must eat His flesh and drink His blood if they want to have a life (John 6:35-36 & 48-58).

They cannot grasp the truth of it. They were misunderstood and did not even believe! For them, Jesus’ words are too hard and no one will be able to hear (John 6:60). Since then the people who initially flocked to follow Jesus being turned away from Jesus.

After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. (John 6:66 ESV)

After this many of his disciples quit following him and did not accompany him any longer. ((John 6:66 NET)

The disciples who turned back and no longer follow Jesus are the ones who follow Jesus with impure heart and just because of Jesus’ miracles. They did not seriously follow Jesus but just because along Jesus’ teaching did not collide with their tenet, habits, or their human desires. However, when they must accept the whole of Jesus’ teaching and His will, that is the moment when their apparent faith collapsed!

They were that then easily abandon Jesus when they see Jesus as a person who no longer able to follow their will or no longer fits with their criteria.

People who aren’t really gives themselves to Christ will never experience a renewal because they never allow the Holy Spirit to change them.

Jesus told the truth about Him but they could not accept it. They cannot fully accept the truth because their hearts and minds haven’t changed. They still live in a manner, size, and in their old man understanding. while something that spiritual is spiritually discerned only.

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV)

Basically, there is no one can accept the teaching of the truth about Jesus by their own power because it is contrary with the human reason.

And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” (John 6:65 NKJV)

Only through the revelation of the God’s spirit and by God’s grace, the human heart and mind will be open to accept the God’s truth.

Until now many people seeking and come to God solely because they want to be free of problems. They want to be free of debt, want to get a promotion, recovering from their illness, career advancement, get a mate, success in business, and so on. They merely seek His blessing and want to His miracles. Their hearts are not truly seeking God. They are just waiting for His hand works and not even want to know His personality. They do not see Jesus as God who gives the eternal life but simply as a provider of their temporal needs. Not surprisingly, after a long time follow God and called himself as “The Christ’s disciple”, they do not grow in the God’s knowledge. Their heart have not changed, their minds have not experienced a renewal. As the result, they cannot capture the God’s word and quite difficult to accept The God’s truth.

About them, Paul wrote:

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. (Hebrews 5:12 NKJV)

I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; (1 Corinthians 3:2 NKJV)

Meet the Savior was an amazing grace, but continued to follow Him is our decision. Seed of faith is indeed from God, but to complete the journey to the finish line requires our commitment and faithfulness.” (Sella Irene – Beautiful Words)

Many people decided to quit in the middle of the road with a variety of reasons. People like that are not the true disciples. Even among His closest disciples, there is any disciple who later betrayed Him for money! It could be that those who ultimately turned actually from the beginning was never truly followed Jesus.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (1 John 2:19 UKJV)

Let us renew our commitment and always invoke the Holy Spirit so that we can be a true disciple that never turn away from our Savior. Become a true disciple that can be trusted also complete the tasks and calling until the finish line.

But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, I take no pleasure in him. But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls. (Hebrews 10:38-39 NET)

Such a beautiful post with words of wisdom gleaned from the Holy Spirit:

We “must accept the whole of Jesus…allow the Holy Spirit to change” us, and instead of simply wanting God’s blessings, we must desire Him.
