Beautiful Words

Beautiful words stir my heart. I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.

MAXIMUM LIVES “To be a Good Sower”

Who does not want to have a maximum life? We all want it. We always want to maximum in relationships, spirituality and ministry, maximum in influence on around us, finance, and in all areas. Even sometimes we pray to become a blessing to others. The essence of “maximum” does not means always to be a number one above others also does not mean to be the richest, the smartest, the most preferably, the most respected, or something like that. What is meant of “maximum” here is a fruitful life and become a blessing in wherever area God has placed and trusted us. What is the point of success if it’s just for us alone? People will be meaningful if they useful to others. So, what should we do to make our life maximum? (Please read: Being fruitful)

After God created human being, He blessed them with the multiplication blessing

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:28NIV)

From the beginning God has given us an authority to multiply. This is not only about the amount of human which increases and fill the earth, but human which has a quality as “Conqueror and ruler” A conqueror and ruler is a person that is not controlled by situation but controlling the situation. Not the one who defeated by problems, but the one who beats them. A conqueror and ruler is the one controlling themselves and the world where God placed them. What for? Surely not to satisfy our desire/ambition but to carry a mission as a manager whom been trusted by our Father who is the creator and owner of everything! A manager always realizes that everything they held is not theirs! So they will manage with responsibility and will easily release/give it back when the owner asked for it!

“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” (Genesis 8:22 NIV)

As long as we live in this world, we live under the law of sowing and reaping. Without sowing, there will be no reaping. One seed can be one field trees if the seed was sowed.

Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. (John 12:24 NIV)

There no other way! The only way to multiply is only with sowing. If we want to a maximum lives, we must sowing. Just like a seed that has to die so it can multiply, sowing means we should truly sincere and let go “ours” and not with the motivation to get it back directly.

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. (Genesis 1:29 NIV)

Since the beginning, God provided seed-bearing plant as human’s food. This means there is always the seed to be sowed in every God’s gift for us. So, if we want to be fruitful and multiply, do not eat our seed, but sow it!

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. (2 Corinthians 9:10 NIV)

If we want to be a sower, do not worry about the seed because God already provided it. The question is what should we do with our seed to reap the maximum results?

Because human has been designed as sower in the world which has a law of sowing and reaping, so consciously or not what we do will be back to us.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. (Galatians 6:7 NIV)

A real sower will always pay attention to seed that he sows and place where they will sow. What can we sow? Anything! Love, kindness, forgiveness, money, positive words, words of faith, and everything good and could develop. Even we can sow bad things: anger, hatred, revenge, words that hurt others, lies, and everything could destroys.

If we want our life to be fruitful and become a blessing in every area, then we have to sow the good seed for our God’s Kingdom. We must always notice every words, actions, thoughts, minds, and how to manage our finance as God’s command. Do be reckless! It is the sower’s lifestyle.

Sowing is the part that should we do. However when the seed has been sowed, that is the time God doing His part to provide the growth of the seed.

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. (1 Corinthians 3:6 NIV)

He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” (Mark 4:26 – 29 NIV)

So do not boast on any of our achievement because after we release the seed, actually we do not have any contribution anymore. God grow the seed so that we can reap.

God promised who sows will reap 30, 60, 100 times. We also have to sow in faith that God will gives us the harvest. But above of all promises, love to God and others should become a foundation for all of things we do.

Whatever we sow : fund for the gospel mission, helping the needy, forgive to those who have hurt us, pray for revival and evangelism, sow the words that develop us and other lives, and all good seed that we sow in this life – all just for proclaim Jesus Christ’s love and greatness so that the whole world see Him through our lives.

If we want to a maximum lives, to be a good sower. Do not eat our seed. Take an attention of our lives thoroughly and sow the goodness. Do everything in harmony with God’s word, then our life will certainly fruitful dan multiply in all areas and be a blessing. Happy sowing.

Interesting topic. I love it. Beside we have to pay attention what kind of seed which we sow we also have to consider to the amount of seed that we sowed as Corinthians said: Remember this, whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6 and every seed we sow should give what you have decided in your heart (generosity) 2 Corinthians 9 :7. May God will give you maximum lives from what you have sowed. Amen.
